VSDC Video Editor with Transparent Video Support is Announced

October 15, 2014

Flash-Integro developed a new major release of its acclaimed VSDC Free Video Editor 2.2.2. The update features industry-unique support for semi-transparent videos, offers convenient pre-configured profiles for web videos, adds support for SRT subtitles for easy labeling of and commenting on a video, and brings in instantly applied styles and effects.

The first great novelty is the support creating of semi-transparent videos. What is that? Now, a user can add semi-transparent objects to a video just as easy as normal images, movies, and other typical objects and create own semi-transparent videos. The app can work with multiple formats that use an alpha-channel or other ways to represent transparent pixels, such as PNG, lossless JPEG and GIF. Semi-transparency is a great artistic effect and a powerful option for video presentations, but unfortunately it rarely finds itself in affordable video editors. VSDC Free Video Editor now bridges this gap.

The second new option is a whole new pre-defined profile category – web videos. With it, a user can make a video, then instantly select one of the web video profiles and receive a ready-to-upload file in the given format (FLV, MP4, SWF, GIF) and settings optimized for the Internet. With the growing popularity of various video casts, YouTube channels, let’s plays, and video reviews of all kinds, such a quick way to get a turnkey Web video will be greatly appreciated by users.

Instant styles and effects pursue the same goal: to let the user quickly apply a cool effect to a video and immediately see the result. The support for SRT subtitles makes it possible to add multiple text comments to certain scenes of the video using the built-in script language. And if that wasn’t enough for the update, the new version also eases timeline operation and speeds up transparent object rendering thanks to SSE2 support.

Featuring many cool improvements, new options and possibilities, VSDC Free Video Editor remains straightforward, intuitive and, of course, free software.

VSDC Free Video Editor 2.2.0 Offers New Possibilities for Animation Experts

September 02, 2014

Flash-Integro releases VSDC Free Video Editor 2.2.0. Capable video editing software that now allows for creating an animated object from a set of static images forming a video sequence. A series of optimization techniques applied to the frame processing resulted in a notable performance increase in the new version.

VSDC Free Video Editor already gained a good amount of popularity because it houses more than a user would expect from a free tool. Along with special non-linear video editing and subpixel manipulation with video fragments and pictures – the unique features of the program – VSDC also offers decent performance, an extremely intuitive user interface, and a range of exporting options including one-click DVD/Blu-ray burning.

Previously, the program allowed for adding video, images, and audio fragments to the final footage. However, many professionals who are experienced in the arts often need custom-drawn animated objects on the video – rotating logotypes, animated indicators, or labels and so on. And it is this gap that the new version of VSDC Free Video Editor fills. Now, a user can prepare a set of static images in any preferred format, including the native format of the Photoshop editor, and import the files to the program that compiles them into an animated object.

Just as in the other objects that the tool supports, animations are easily configurable. A user can specify the frame duration, choose key frame settings, and select the position of the individual image in a frame thereby enabling an animator artist to save a lot of time.

Therefore, thanks to the new option, VSDC Free Video Editor can replace specialized picture animation software, but with one crucial difference: the program is absolutely free.

A major bottleneck of many video editors for home users is poor performance. VSDC Free Video Editor notably stands above the competition, and the new release is just another investment into this advantage. In particular, the new version features an improved and optimized video processing core that allows you to boost video generation performance by up to an outstanding 50%. Exporting and converting of video formats enjoy this increase as well, although to a lesser extent.

VSDC Free Video Editor Gets Faster, Easier and Friendlier

May 13, 2014

Flash-Integro LLC announces the new version of VSDC Free Video Editor 2.1.8. The freeware tool provides all the ways to perform comprehensive video creation, editing, montage, and capturing. Among the changes introduced in the update are better and more efficient Wizard dialog, comprehensive object editing, faster exporting, and lower RAM consumption as well as many bug-fixes.

The acclaimed free video editing suite VSDC Free Video Editor has recently updated to version 2.1.8. Being a well-thought-out versatile solution, the application now features a lot more automation functions making it even easier to use by inexperienced users.

The Wizard, a central concept of the object editing interface in the program, has become more convenient for various video editing tasks. Hotkeys, redesigned toolbars, and better overall layout all help users create complex video objects – slideshows and video effects – easily. In addition, the Wizard dialog now enables you to apply filters and transition effects between various scenes of the video. Finally, a user can now edit previously created objects just as easy, via the Wizard. Previously, the editing was done using a standard preferences dialog.

Another significant novelty in the new version is improved processing speed. Indeed, exporting of an output video to one of the supported video formats now works faster, which is especially noticeable in HD footage. Video preview has also been sped-up, and it now offers a number of additional preferences for the smoothest experience possible.

“We redesigned many interface elements in order to provide faster operation and better user experience. For instance, the timeline was extended with new convenient controls”, comments a software designer at Flash-Integro LLC. “We aim to make our tool as easy to use as possible to give even non-expert users a functional instrument for their video editing needs”.

VSDC Free Video Editor Opens New Paths for Imagination

July 09, 2014

Flash-Integro LLC announces the new version of VSDC Free Video Editor 2.1.9. The update of the well-known free video editing tool brings a completely new subpixel way of handling objects in a video and allows for specifying variable paths for them to provide smoother and more flexible movement.

Editing a video used to only be the area of experienced users for years, but not anymore. Multiple tools on the market now offer decent capabilities that have been  enveloped in a user-friendly interface and simple concepts. VSDC Free Video Editor is such a tool. Under the skin of a simplified home-use tool, there’s a fully functional instrument featuring many innovative approaches, such as non-linear video editing and a convenient Wizard guiding a user through the process.

The new version of VSDC Free Video Editor offers a completely revamped video object drawing mechanism. Unlike previous versions (and many other video editing tools too), the new algorithm renders objects – pictures and video fragments – on a subpixel basis, providing an extremely high accuracy of positioning and adjustment of elements on the screen. Needless to say, the new technology promotes a smoother and more delicate interaction of scene objects.

And the other new feature also supports enhanced interactivity too. VSDC Free Video Editor now offers a more flexible and powerful way of handling the movement of objects through a scene. A user can specify complex paths, create accelerated or slowed movement, move objects linearly or instantly from one point to another. Conveniently, the program calculates the acceleration of objects automatically, which allows to set up sophisticated synchronization between multiple moving objects on the scene – an option that is hardly available in many home-level video editors.

Finally, VSDC Free Video Editor introduces quality-aware exporting profiles and can support HD video output as well as files with a higher than normal frame rate.

Free Video Editor Brings Pro Effects to Home Movie Editing

March 4, 2014

Flash-Integro Co. releases VSDC Free Video Editor 2.0, a comprehensive video creation, editing, montage and capturing tool. The latest major version offers a large collection of new professional-quality audio filters and effects as well as project backup capabilities.

Free, functional and easy-to-use – these are features of the VSDC Free Video Editor. Few tools are really capable of delivering all three of these at once, but that does not seem to be a problem for VSDC. Creating complex video clips, splitting and merging fragments, adding sound effects and background music, as well as applying finishing touches with special effects are easily accomplished thanks to VSDC’s unique non-linear editing paradigm.

VSDC Free Video Editor 2.0 adds a lot of new audio filters and special effects for more professional soundtracks. Reverberation, phaser, flanger or chorus effects can artistically transform the sound of selected audio segments to make the whole video more captivating. Amplitude correction options as well as a number of audio filters help to deliver the best quality sound and to even out differences in audio level between pieces. This new version introduces automatic project backup that ensures that projects are saved correctly and that several recent revisions are maintained.

“VSDC Free Video Editor’s non-linear approach is unrivaled in merging creative flexibility with ease and transparency of the video editing process”, says a software designer at Flash-Integro Co. “Users can make shapes, images and video fragments appear and disappear, travel across the screen, interact between each other and more. Effects and filters are object-dependent which opens wide the gate to creating spectacular and complex visuals”.
